‘Americolor is the best paste colour I have used for my cakes and cake decorating. You just need a litte dip with a toothpick in the paste to make a beautiful colour. You can colour frosting on cupcakes, color fondant or even make a cake bun pink if you like.
State of the art food technology is why airbrush colours has so many advantages over other food colours. Colour molecule encapsulationcreates a barrier that greatly reduces any aftertaste, while dramatically reducing fading. Soft Gel Paste’s superior formulation can withstand the harsh freeze/ thaw cycle without colours bleeding. Frozen Cakes which are set out at room temperature will form condensation. Soft Gel Paste will not run with the moisture like other food colours. This technology controls fading to less than 20%, even in extreme conditions. Soft Gel Paste will not break down icings especially the more delicate non- dairy whipped toppings. Just think, you now really can colour non-dairy whipped toppings with deep, vibrant tones.
Airbrush colours is an effective colouring system. It’s consistent from batch to batch. It has colouring strength superior to any other food colour. It will not separate or weep and does not harden. The base ingredients allow the colour to disperse immediately so you actually use less colour. It will colour the more delicate non- dairy whipped icings and toppings without breaking them down. Soft Gel Paste will colour: bread dough, cookie dough, cake batter, whipped toppings and icings, buttercream icing, royal icing, rolled fondant, gum paste, marzipan, compound coating and white chocolate (with addition of Flo-Coat). Use your imagination! Soft Gel Paste will colour just about anything you need to colour. Soft Gel Paste represents a completely new approach to food colour formulation, delivering superior results over conventional food colours, especially when colouring icings and whipped toppings.
Please note these gel colours are not EU approved for use with food as they use sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate as preservatives, some also contain the colour E127 which is no longer permitted in food products.
These Americolor gels are therefore sold as non-edible and only suitable for non-edible craft projects.
